Custom Basic

The Custom Basic hilt is a static prop, meaning it does not light up, come apart, or have a blade. This style is perfect for costumes, Fanfilm Hero sabers, or as pieces for display in your collection. The detailing on these sabers is very high. Each saber is customized to your specifications, and make excellent additions to collections in need of that unique and beautiful prop. The pictures below are examples of some Custom Basic sabers I've made for my customers.

Hyper-Realistic

These hilts are made with internal parts, and are the most realistic versions of a high energy saber weapon. They can be field stripped, as if they were actual weapons. The internal parts are made primarily from steel, and other metals. The design of these hilts is based upon research into high yield energy weaponry. They contain a power cell, a crystal chamber, an electromagnetic electron gun, and an emitter assembly, plus the outer housing parts and activator. The detail level on Hyper-Realistic sabers is very high. The price will vary depending upon how many separate parts the internals and externals separate into. If you're into the mechanics of weaponry, a Hyper-Realistic saber might be just what you are looking for.

The Hyper-Realistic sabers come with instructions for stripping and reassembly.

Constructed to allow for a 1" polycarbonate removable dueling blade: $75

LED Combat Ready

My Custom LED hilts come with a removable 1" thick-walled polycarbonate blades. The 1" blades are the most durable blades anywhere available. Other blades have tips that can break off during combat. Mine are secured so that won't happen. I specifically have designed my blades and hilts for full contact dueling stresses. They are bright, and perfect for marital arts or fight choreography dueling. I test each custom saber to make sure the weight and balance is that of a real sword. The 1" blades have almost no flex to them. They are akin to using a Japanese wooden practice sword (known as a bokken), so their perfect for martial artists who want to train with a light up sword, or fight choreographers who don't want to pull their strikes during performances.

My custom LED hilts use a 3.5"- 4" deep steel blade socket, and the bodies are made from welded steel parts. The blade socket depth gives the polycarbonate a solid seating inside the hilt. If you have used some of my competitors fx conversion sabers, then you will know that they are not made for real dueling, as the blades often break because the sockets are only 1" to 2" deep, and the polycarbonate is often very thin. My LED swords are made to be used without the worry of them breaking. Like all my other sabers, each one is painstakenly hand crafted to be a functional piece of sci-fi artwork. The LEDs are nice and bright. Each saber used 4 AAA batteries to function.

You can also get LED hilt emitter inserts. These inserts fit into the blade socket, and cover up the socket hole, so when the blade is not in the hilt, the hilt looks like hero version saber. I make them so that when you turn on the saber, the light glows out the end of the emitter insert. The emitter insert usually has a crystal at one end, so when you turn on the LED saber, the crystal lights up brightly. They're a very cool addition.

SOUND OPTION:

Hasbro and Master Replicas FX Lightsabers can be made into full contact dueling sabers. I customize the FX Lightsabers by turning them into completely new sabers, while using the FX sound system. The Custom FX Lightsabers will have a new slide switch, a luxeon LED style blade system, a hard wired FX Lightsaber battery pack/speaker system, a full length steel blade socket, a 1" thick-walled combat blade, and a totally customized body. I can make customized FX Lightsabers in both styles of curved hilts, as well as straight hilts. I only customize the Darth Maul, Darth Vader ESB, Luke ANH, Obi-wan, Anakin, Yoda, and Construction Kit FX Lightsabers.

Stunt Saber

For those interested in making films, ALW offers props for use in stunt fighting. The hilts are as detailed as Hero versions, but have removable blades so you can also duel with them. Blades are thick-walled polycarbonate, with an outer diameter of 1". The tubing can take a severe beating without breakage. The clear blade tubing has a florescent colored insert for easier tracking on film or video. Since the coloration is florescent, the blades will glow if you fight under black lights. Each stunt hilt comes with a polycarbonate blade. Emitter inserts can also be used in the blade sockets, so when the blade is removed the socket hole is hidden from view.
