Goal

My goal is to make the science fiction/fantasy world more real to those of us who enjoy it, by creating fantasy weaponry that is as close to real as possible. Many of my props are made to be field stripped and reassembled like actual weapons. And just as in real weapons over the ages, I make props that have artistry and ergonomics in mind.

FAQ

Do you make any props from movies or books? Nope. And you shouldn't even ask me if I will make you anything that is already copyrighted by someone else. I only make original sci-fi / fantasy weaponry and artwork.

Can you make something based on my own design? If you have a design of your own, I can make your prop based off what you've drawn or can explain.

How unique are your props and sabers? Well, the pictures on this site are of my past work, and I don't reproduce any of it. I can make you something that is based off of work shown on the site. If you happen to really like something you see (whether as a completed saber, or as a conglomerations of multiple sabers you see on this site), you can let me know and I can build you something based off of that design. But in the end, your prop or hilt will be a unique item when it's finished.

What are your "weapons" made of? I use a variety of metals and plastics, however most parts are high grade steel, stainless steel, aluminum, brass, and copper.

Are your custom props mass produced? Nope. I sculpt each custom prop myself. The quality of my work is primarily based on the amount of hand work and personal attention to detail that goes into each saber and prop I make. From the initial design to the final detailing, each of my props is made with loving attention and great care.

How much detail can I get on my prop? As much detail as you want. The detailing always starts in the prop's functionality. For props that are going to be used as "fighting tools", each design choice I make is based around making the prop well-balanced and durable. For props that will be used as collectables, I make them as beautiful art objects. In either case however, metals can be highly etched, weathered, or polished. Paint jobs can be extremely ornate or plainly simple. Sculptings can be wildly obvious or sleekly subdued. Weathering can be heavily, moderately, or lightly applied. In the end, it's up to you.

What are your prices? Prices will vary depending upon what you want the prop to be. The basic price ranges for my props are listed in each prop section on this website. They are a basic range for the commission. An exact quote will be given by email or by phone conversation. The final price is based upon the specifications of each individual prop.

How long does it take for you to make a cutstom prop? Due to the amount of props being produced at the moment, it will take approximately nine months to complete a new order.

Can you do rush orders? Yes. There is a fee attached to doing a rush order, which is based upon just how quickly you need the prop.

What is the process to place a custom order? The process is pretty straigh forward. Once I am contacted by you and I find out what you want, I will give you a quote for the final piece. Once payment or partial payment is made, your order is put into the work schedule. It's first come, first served. When fabrication begins on your prop, I sometimes have design questions for you. I usually will provide you with pictures via email of the piece when it's completed. Once the item is completed and full payment is made, I send the item out.

How can I contact you? If you want a prop made, then please call me at 716-216-4058, M-F 9am-4pm ET, and we can discuss your possible order.

Do you have any custom props available right now? Sometimes I do, and sometimes I am sold out. I do my best to get new props onto my e-store. If you ever find the e-store empty, please check back to see if anything new has been listed.

Please note that if a custom order is placed and later cancelled, a full refund is not offered.  Once payment is made for a custom order, I immediately buy materials and begin design work on the saber, thereafter fabrication work is done until the item is completed.   If an order is cancelled, material costs, labor costs, and a restock fee of 15% will be applied to the cancelled order.
